Try different languages. Perhaps Pig-Latin. Hmmm... Old English... "Ic eom mihtig... geafe to me feoh" Or something like that... Thought technically it means "I am mighty/powerful/great," but isn't that really the message you're trying to send? You're all-powerful; cough up some dough.
Subtle - interpretive dance Direct - gunpoint Coy - "riddle me this, Batman" Humorous - "A funny thing happened on the way to HR" Desperate - "Ah, Come on... PLEASE? I'll be your friend..."
Or, just document your accomplishments and what you consider the dollar value of those accomplishments to be to the company.

That is exactly the message I am trying to send them.. though why they need it in writing I don't know. I mean, can't they see how awesome I am???
Other approaches:

Coy - "riddle me this, Batman"
Humorous - "A funny thing happened on the way to HR"
Desperate - "Ah, Come on... PLEASE? I'll be your friend..."
