PSSWR... AGAIN...

So, how freakin' lazy are we? We keep talking about the PSSWR, but have yet to plan it. Back in the Fall we were planning to do invitations and invite loads of people and make t-shirts and cds... now where are we? Nowhere. I guess what we need to do is figure out

1. Are we doing it?
2. WHEN are we doing it?
3. Who's doing it with us?
4. Extraneous other details.

I would like to, if we can get at least two or three more people to go. We don't need to rent a cabin or anything; we can just find a B&B or something. And it doesn't have to be for a week; 3-4 days would be fine with me. Anyway, I just thought I'd toss it out there again; see if we're still a go or if it'll have to be PSSWR 2008.

I'm in, and I know at least 3 people who would want to come!

I'm in, but right off the bat, I have to say that July would be best for me - I can't go in June at all, probably. What about around July 4? Not sure about August.

July would work for me, too, though the 4th might be pushing it... I've got a wedding in Nashville June 30thish...

July is fine, but we have to jump now on housing et.al. it's very touristee there in the summer.

Okay, July... week preferences? I can swing the week of the 2nd, but I can Wang-Chung the week of the 9th. Which Wingal do you really want, I guess...

Actually, how DOES one Wang-Chung? It's a full body experience, isn't it? Yeah. That's me the week of the 9th.

that or the next week would be okay, though the cabin idea would be out out out due to $$ which is fine by me.

Don't you mean Wingal-Chung?

I can do any time in July. Why is the cabin out the week after the 9th? Do prices skyrocket then or something? I'm all for a moderately-priced cabin or B&B or hell, a cheap hotel room if we have to. We'll be drunk, right? It won't matter. Personally, I'd like the cabin best, B&B second-best, and sleazy hotel way not best at all. But I'm really pretty easy. What kind of $$ are we talking about?

Yeah, Jenny... I've heard you're "really pretty easy."

I'm sending big loves to Boobarella, since she's our expert on the area, accommodations, and money issues. I hope she doesn't mind us leaving it to her? Perhaps we should check into all the July weeks, maybe, and see what that yields as far as housing.

And it is Wingal-Chung. I forgot. I have my own dance. Dance, dance, yeah.

indeed prices do sky rocket. Most of the places I have seen jump about 150% in July-August. I sent Wingal one earlier that is $850 in June, but in July/August it runs close to $2000. The B&B's in the area (and most vacation areas) do that too. It's shitty, but good business.

Okay, if we can hold off on reservations for, like a couple days, I can probably find out if I'm able to to go earlier in June, which obviously would be better, right? It's looking likely, but the guy who makes the plans doesn't like to make plans in advance. So we're going to try to pin him down on it in the enxt couple of days...can we wait?

for you baby, I will wait til the end of time.
