Just Lookin' Out for Youse Guys

Ladeez, I changed a setting to prevent those anonymous messages from getting through - feel free to change it back if you miss them.

So it's raining like a mutha out here in the great desert southwest. No, I misspoke. It's BEEN raining like a mutha for more than a week and all the rivers - yes, because we actually feel justified in calling them rivers now - are flooding. Also, my street is flooded, it's raining in the Old Pueblo ladies' room, and a sinkhole has opened up next to the porta john, which is somewhat alarming. It's a balmy 80 degrees right now. If that. Meanwhile, the midwest is experiencing a heat wave. Does anyone see anything backwards about this situation?

I'm off to stock up on beer.

Jenny, I changed it back since I don't particularly feel like writing in a bad french accent. (I feel like I've got Maurice Chevalier in my head and he just won't leave!!) Anyway, what's the weather like next Wednesday until the following Tuesday? I'm off to Grandmother's house and I'd prefer not to melt into a puddle or spontaneously combust in the Costco parking lot of Green Valley(kind of puts a crimp in the ole vacation).

Dudes, I've been out of the loop... what did Anonymous do THIS time?

Sam - If Green Valley hasn't been washed off the map yet (and I assume it hasn't - it's not exactly Sodom and Gomorrah out there after all...unless your grandma knows something I don't), then my guess for next week is that it will be dismally hot and humid and a breezy 108 degrees. It's my experience that every time people come to visit, it stops raining and gets really uncomfortable. But I'll keep you informed.

Are you bringing Maurice?

Yes, Maurice is coming and boy howdy was his seat expensive! I tried to pass him off as dog, but Southworst doesn't allow dogs so that sort of back fired on me. Anyway, he better be good because I don't want my grandmother evicted from her retirement community!
